The number that should interest anyone running a patch is 11 out of 48. That is how many farms, checked on 27 July, still had no explicit 2026 timetable on their own site: an undated page, a calendar still labelled 2025, or a ticket notice saying prices are coming soon. Meanwhile Tulleys in West Sussex has had 19 and 20 September up for weeks, and Farmer Copleys is publishing selected dates through to 1 November. The gap between those two groups is not really about farm size. It is about who treats the website as part of the season and who treats it as an afterthought once the crop is in the ground.
For visitors the rule is dull but it holds: open the official page the morning you travel, because a published date is not a promise about crop or weather, and compare the total cost rather than the entry price. Pumpkins on this list run from £1 to £15, and free entry is not the same as a cheap day out. For operators the fix is an hour’s work. Put the year in the page title, delete last season’s prices instead of leaving them to be misread, and keep the same event URL from one season to the next. What to take pumpkin picking
